Still playing lost of classic Whitesnake thanks to the excellent 3 CD ‘30th Anniversary’ set plus even more now following the sad passing of former Whitesnake guitarist Mel Galley – RIP.

Journey still up there as their new album grows more and more on each play. Easily their best album since’ Raised On Radio’. AOR heaven with Brother Firetribe and Khymera, the latetr who recall the glory days of Guiffria.

The debut album by progressive metal band Saint Deamon is well worth a listen and is one of the strongest debuts in this genre of music I have heard for a long time. Can’t wait for their second album. The new album from King’s X has some real gems although like many of their recent albums there are a couple of songs you keep skipping across. Ayreon’s new(ish) album is still getting regular plays along with the song ‘Rage’ of their last album as the great Devin Townsend features on that song.

Bit of 60’s pop rock/psychedelic rock with The Move who are very underrated when it comes to key bands in the late 60’s. Considering this band spawned the chart success of Roy Wood and Wizzard and ELO they certainly deserve more exposure and credit in my view.

Robb Johnson and the Irregulars are a perfect mix of folk, rock, singer/songwriter and pop. Robb Johnson pens some wonderful tunes and hopefully a new album is due later this year.

Finally my all time favourite band (along with ELO) Queen make this week’s top ten after digging out ‘The Works’ album.
