Who will be the Christmas no. 1 this year?
The X Factor winner is the obvious favourate and they will supposedly be covering the Journey classic ‘Don’t Stop Believin’, although this has now apparently changed. But George Michael has a seasonal ditty in ‘December Song’, who needs to fend of Mariah Carey and the mighty Quo who have teamed up with Rolf Harris for ‘Christmas In The Sun’. X Factor losers Jedwood release ‘Christmas Wrapping’, a song bad enough in its original version before the talentless twosome got their hands on it…
Then there are the fan led online campaigns which include getting Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’, the Muppets take on ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and Rage Against The Machine’s ‘Killing In The Name Of’. All want to stop the X Factor!
Outside bets could be a run on Michael Jackson’s past festive hit, the Killers have a charity single out, Robbiwe Williams, the blummin’ awful St. Winnifred’s School Choir’s hit of thirty years ago ‘There’s No-One Quite Like Grandma’ could even make a dent in the top 40 again but hopefully not.
