Stoke City 4-0 Newcastle Utd

This year’s Premiership is certainly a roller coaster ride as we thumped Newcastle at home with goals from Pennant, Higginbotham, Walters and Fuller (great to see him back on the scoresheet). So no FA Cup hangover for us then! Some Newcastle fans were chanting for their manager Alan Pardew to leave, as they have now only won once in their last nine games.

Good win and a vital three points especially as teams below us did well on the whole with Wolves and Wigan both winning dragging Aston Villa into the relegation dogfight in the process. The magic 40 point barrier for safety in the Premiership could well be upped this season to 42 points, especially as no one team is losing touch with the rest of the league points wise.

Stoke play Bolton in the FA Cup Semi-Final on Sunday April 17th at 4pm. Full ticket details here
