Brentford 1-0 Stoke City (pre-season friendly)

Not the great pre-season game I have witnessed and only around 2oo Stoke supporters, swelled by by daughter, nephew (Chelsea) and my Spurs supporting friend and his son! Brentford looked lively and were deserved winners, with former Crewe striker Clayton Donalsdson looking to be an astute signign by their new manager Uwe Rosler, the former Man City striker. Agggh! Man City connections strike again!

Kenwyne Jones looked disinterested at times; Danny Pugh was poor but Danny Collins looked decent with his passes actually a) going forward and b) reaching another Stoke player. Concerning for me is that we lack depth in the squad in general and in particular up front as when Walters went off with a knock we had no cover. Fuller is still someway off playing and Big Mama looks set to return soon but he’s never going to win any Golden Boot awards for his goals tally.
