Mark Hughes denies Real Madrid’s interest in Stoke stopper Asmir Begovic

Err hands off Real…although being realistic sadly I can see Begovic leaving this summer. Possibly Man City or Chelsea more likely?

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes insists Real Madrid have not approached the Potters over a summer move for goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

The Bosnian is highly rated around Europe and reports in recent weeks have linked him with a high-profile move to the Bernabeu.

But Hughes has dismissed the speculation, although admits he may find it tough to keep hold of his no.1 amid growing interest from Champions League sides.

‘I’m not sure where the story originates from, but certainly there has been no contact between the clubs,’ he said.
