Cameron Jerome joins Norwich

Cameron Jerome has joined Norwich for a fee of around £1.5m. A decent fee for a player who was a good impact sub for us, but never seemed to play well when he started a game. Good luck to him there and he did score a few key goals for us, although being left behind this preseason it was pretty obvious Mark Hughes had no place for him in the 25 man squad.

Next out of the door possibly either Brek Shea (MLS bound?) and Ryan Shotton (the club have turned down a loan move to Derby as they want a permanent deal).

  1. Pretty sure (although I could be wrong) that Brek would not be able to go to MLS until after the current season as he is not a free agent. If under contract I believe that the deal (even if for a loan) would have had to have been done before the transfer deadline in MLS, which is the reason Jones and Agudelo can still ponder on MLS moves as they are Free Agents so they have until like early-mid September sometime. As I said I could be wrong but I think this is accurate, hence Brek apparantly looking for a move out of England to Germany or Netherlands as opposed to staying in England or sitting on Stoke’s bench until next years MLS season.

Correct? everyone please let me know if not, I’m really interested to see what happens here… I know he isn’t top, top class but I think Stokies are gonan miss him once he comes true at whatever club they ship him to…

  2. Thanks for commenting and you are indeed right he can not move to the MLS yet. A European club on loan looks a likely bet. I still think there is a top player in him given game time and if he calms his personality down a little.
