Gibraltar v Poland preview

The first competitive European Championship qualifier for Gibraltar who have been officially recognised by UEFA. A momentous occasion for the national team and their fans. Good they have a home draw for this game, although playing Poland will certainly test their goalkeeper! Love to see a draw, although realistically think it will be 3-1/4-1 to Poland.

The squad named for the game includes nine players from Lincoln Red Imps FC and three players from Manchester 62 FC. Two English based players make then squad (Danny Higginbotham has since retired after a brief playing career with Gibraltar), Preston’s Scott Wiseman (he has two caps to date and has played previously at club level for Hull, Rochdale & Barnsley) and Jake Gosling (he ahs two caps and one goal to date) from Bristol Rovers.
