Paul Lambert leaves Stoke by mutual consent

The club have released statement that can be read here.

The Sentinel has early candidates thought to include David Moyes, Sam Allardyce, Nigel Pearson, Mick McCarthy, Dean Smith, Gary Rowett, Lee Johnson, Derek McInnes and former player Graham Potter. Moyes would be a top choice for the club as would Sam Allardyce, who they were rumoured to have approached for the job in January.

Paul Lambert’s two wins since January when he took charge was not good enough and despite him weeding out the troublemakers in the squad, along with shoring up the defence, he was not an inspiring choice of fans to lead us next season in the Championship. Hope he does find another managerial role soon as he seems a genuine in his will to help the club when he joined.
