Erik Pieters has joined Burnley for a fee of £1m plus add ons. He follows in the footsteps of Jon Walters, Phil Bardsley and Peter Crouch who have all joined Burnley from Stoke in recent years.

Kevin Wimmer is training with SC Cologne as Stoke look to offload him and up to eight other players (Moritz Bauer, Geoff Cameron, Mame Diouf, Giannelli Imbula, Julien Ngoy, Erik Pieters, Josh Tymon plus Bojan who is training in Spain) that don’t currently feature in the manager’s plans.

Stoke City completed the signing of striker Sam Vokes on a three and a half years deal from Burnley. Going the other way was Peter Crouch, who has been at Stoke for six and a half years. A great ambassador for the club and hope he does well at Burnley.

Martina has been recalled by Everton – great news as he is one of worst players Ihave seen at Stoke in a long while and we have had some stinkers. Eric Pieters joined Amien on loan for the rest of the season and Tyrese Campbell has joined Shrewsbury Town on loan.

An Erik Pieters goal got us back to winning ways and 43pts with four games to go. It also puts us in three points of Newcastle who we beat yesterday. Could we finish in ninth place or even eighth if Southampton continue to ship points. Come on Stoke!

Looks like we will finish the highest placed Midlands club as Villa and West Brom continue to flirt with relegation. Mind you think it will be Sunderland, Cardiff and Norwich going down.
