Muniesa off?

After an FA Cup performance to forget the transfer rumour mill is in full swing with Real Betis supposedly interested in signing Marc Muniesa, who said last month he wants away to guarantee first team football.

Bojan is after a move and after Saturday’s first half performance he won’t have impressed any potential suitors!

One player on the move is goalkeeper Jakob Haugarrad who has joined Championship side Wigan on loan for the rest of the season. With the signing of Grant permanently and Butland due back from injury hopefully next moth he’s be fourth in pecking order of goalies.

Geoff Cameron is due back from injury next week which should help us out in the midfield area.

Goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard signs for Stoke

Goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard has joined Stoke from newly-crowned Danish champions FC Midtjylland for a fee of around £600K, on a three year contract. He will be third choice keeper behind Begovic and Butland, as Sorenson has now retired. Although Begovic has been heavily linked with a move to Man Utd as they are waving goodbye to their current no.1 de Gea.

It does look as though with this signing the club are preparing for Begovic’s departure and if so, do we sign a veteran keeper as cover for a season whilst Haugaard settles in?

Summer Ins/Outs:

In:
Jakob Haugaard (GK) £600k

Philipp Wollscheid (D) nomimal fee

Out:
Thomas Sorenson
(GK) retired

Andy Wilkinson (D) released

Victor Moses (M) end of loan period

Stoke City transfer news

Robert Huth, currently on loan at Leicester City and earning rave reviews, is unsure if he will still be at the club come the start of next season.

Few plays with twelve months left on their current contracts look set to be offered new deals over the summer including Steven N’Zonzi, Jon Walters and Geoff Cameron.

Incoming players could include goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard, who plays for FC Midtjylland. There is still uncertainty over Begovic’s future at the club and with Sorenson retiring we are a goalkeeper short minimum. Burnley defender Kieran Trippier is another rumoured transfer target, although Liverpool and West Ham are also interested in signing him.
